  • Rolling admissions now open for 2025-2026 school year!
    Our application for 2026-2027 entry opens in early October. Early decision and round 1 applications are due February 2nd, and round 2 applications are due March 7th. Submit your application as soon as possible to secure your spot.

  • For rolling admissions, the admissions committee reviews applications and contacts qualifying prospective students to schedule a student interview and assessments.

    For 2026-2027 entry, early decision and round 1 applicants will partake in an interview and cognitive assessment on February 7th and round 2 applicants on March 19th or 20th.

  • Rolling admission applicants will receive electronic notification of admission status within one week of meeting all applicant criterias, which includes their application required supplemental materials, interview, and gifted eligibility.

    Early decision applicants for 2026-2027 entry will notified of a decision on February 28th. Round 1 and 2 applicants will be notified on April 4th.

  • Secure your spot at MIS with payment of the matriculation fee. Waitlisted students will be contacted as soon as space becomes available. During rolling admissions, accepted applicants enroll or decline within one week of receipt of the offer.

A Completed Application Includes:

  1. Online Student Questionnaire

  2. Student Portfolio: Submit an example of student work (in any subject area) that demonstrate the applicant’s creativity, skills, and enthusiasm for learning. For 6-12 grade application, we request that it be a writing sample.

  3. Teacher Recommendation Form (sent via application portal).

  4. Student Records: For students entering grades 1-12, please request that your child’s school submit current student transcripts, as well as any other evaluations and standardized test scores directly to MIS. Student Records Request Form

  5. Evidence of eligibility for gifted programs, or WISC-IV results. Other cognitive abilities tests are acceptable if completed in the last 12 months.

  6. Non-refundable application fee of $100.

Waitlists

MIS maintains a waitlist for each school year, and follows a rolling admissions process for new student openings.

2025-2026 Important Dates

February 2nd: Early decision and round 1 applications due (round 1 applicants are given priority over round 2 applicants)

February 7th: Early decision and round 1 interviews and cognitive assessments

February 28th: Early decision applicants notified via email

March 2nd: Financial aid deadline

March 7th: Round 2 applications due

March 19th & 20th: Round 2 interviews and cognitive assessments

April 4th: Round 1 and 2 notified of decision
